How to enable notifications?
Windows notifications
If in Settings in the "Notifications" section you selected "Show notifications", then with each new message a pop-up notification will appear with the recipient's name and the first words of the message in the lower right corner of the window.
If this option is disabled and the application is minimized, then the arrival of new messages and their number can be recognized by the red number on the program icon in the taskbar.
If you do not minimize the application, but close it (by clicking on the cross in the upper right corner), then the number in the taskbar will not appear.
To receive sound notifications, go to Settings, in the "Notifications" section, enable the "Play sounds" option.
If you want the tab with the application on the taskbar to flash when a new message arrives, you must enable the option "Animation when a new message is received".
You can turn off notifications for individual chats. To do this, open the chat with the desired contact, open the menu of this chat (by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner), turn off the "Notifications". A crossed-out speaker will appear in the chat list next to that chat.
