Saving messages on sever

You can save your messages on server when downloading it to your computer via mail clients.

Follow configuration instructions for your mail client:

Microsoft Outlook

  1. Go to Tools in the top menu and choose Email accounts.
  2. Select an account.
  3. Click Change.
  4. Click More settings in a new window.
  5. Go to Advanced tab.
  6. Check Leave a copy of messages on server.
  7. Click OK.

Microsoft Outlook Express

  1. Go to Tools in the top menu and choose Accounts.
  2. Select an account.
  3. Click Settings on the right.
  4. Go to Advanced tab.
  5. Check Leave a copy of messages on server.
  6. Click OK.

Windows Live Mail

  1. Right-click an account.
  2. Choose Settings from the content menu.
  3. Go to Advanced tab.
  4. Check Leave copies of messages on server.
  5. Click OK.

The Bat!

  1. Go to Account in the top menu and choose Properties.
  2. Click Mail Management on the left.
  3. Check Leave messages on server.
  4. Click OK.

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Right-click an account.
  2. Choose Settings from the content menu.
  3. Click Server settings on the left.
  4. Check Leave messages on server.
  5. Click OK.

Messages downloaded via mail clients will then be kept on server but will be marked as read.

We can’t restore messages deleted from the server earlier.
