PIN and Touch ID

You can enable increased protection of your Mail.Ru app by setting a PIN and Touch ID (if supported by your device) 

To enable PIN protection:

1. Tap on the  “Menu” icon in the top left corner.
2. Tap on the  “Settings” icon at the bottom of the screen and go “PIN Protection”.
3. Enter a combination to be used to open the app.
4. To avoid typos, re-enter the PIN.

To turn the PIN protection off, switch off “PIN Protection”.

To change the PIN, tap “Change PIN” and enter a new one.

To enable Touch ID, switch on “Touch ID”.

To set up auto lock, tap “Lock Automatically” and specify the time: immediately, or after 1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes.

If you forget the PIN, tap the  help icon. On the next screen, tap “LOG OUT” — you will be logged out, and the PIN will be reset. Now, to open the app again, you will need to reenter your mailbox name and password.

If you forget your PIN or enter it incorrectly, your data will not be deleted.
